The idea of leaving a city that is so rich in culture, is somewhat heart breaking. I am a native of this place, yet I am openly willing to toss it aside like a soiled napkin. Philadelphia is the reason that I am who I am. It’s taught me to never stop exploring, to fight for what I believe in, to associate summer with Mr. Softie trucks (vanilla soft serve with Jimmies, you know what I am talking about)! Of course this wonderful city has it’s pros and cons, but in the end it is MY city and MY hometown. I am lucky to have been born into such a large diverse place and to have been able to hear the stories and to have experience the things that I have.
After 22 precious years, it is time for me to move on. I love Philadelphia with every fiber of my being, but I am ready to grow even more. It’s time to make the move to my second love, Brooklyn, NY. I am at the point in my life that I want to experience change as often as I can. I enjoy the fight of starting over.
